Are you like most people that smoke in their cars? Do you roll down your window to let the smoke go out? Do you do this all of the time or only when you have your kids in the vehicle with you? We have all kinds of smokers in this country, which one are you? When you are done smoking, do you put it out in the car or do you throw the cigarette butt out the window? In some states it is against the law to throw these out and if you are caught doing this you will receive a ticket and be fined. If your state is under a fire ban, these fines could become pretty high.
If your state is really dry because of lack of much needed water, you will first be put under a fire ban. This means just that. No burning of anything until further notice. Once these bans are set they could be in force for a long time. If you were to move into an area, it might be best to check with the local officials to make sure that there are no bans in force. It will not matter to the person giving you the ticket for unlawful burning that you did not know of the ban. Any of these small fires could end up being a full scale fire starting everything burning.
As you might see a lot of times other people throwing out their butts of cigarettes from their car windows, try not to do this yourself. Smoking in your car even with the windows down will not stop the damage from this smoke. You could still come up with burn holes to your seats or even a fire in your cars back seat. You will still be able to smell the smoke in your car. You will have to clean the inside windshield and even the rear window to remove the build-up of smoke that will collect on them.
If you were to go and sell this vehicle, you might want some to have it professionally cleaned to do a through job on the inside of this car to remove the smells of the cigarettes. They will clean the seats and pull the smoke smell from them with the right type of cleaners. They have to do a through cleaning of the carpets and headliner as well. It is much better for you and your vehicle if you just do not smoke in it. It might even help you quit smoking if you cut out smoking in the car.
