Watch out for the Chevrolet Spark
America has a new car to watch out for in 2011, the Chevrolet Spark is sure to make a huge impression on the ever expanding small vehicle market. The Chevrolet Spark, created by General Motors, will prove to be a sleek new addition to the growing mini car line up, while providing all the luxuries drivers are used to in a fuel efficient, safe, easy to park and drive vehicle. The Spark is a four seat mini car that also has four doors for easy entry.
The Chevy Spark comes with air conditioning, power windows and other more unique features such as remote tail gate and fuel door openers, bottle holders, seat back shopping hooks, detachable ashtray, and day/night rear view mirrors. As far as car safety goes, it has rear child locks, central locking and door ajar warnings. General Motors hopes the Chevrolet Spark will show that GM is interested in fuel economy as reflected in this quote, “Chevrolet Spark will bring great style, roominess and versatility to the segment of extremely fuel-efficient small cars in the U.S.,” said Troy Clarke, president of GM North America.
“The decision to add the Spark to Chevrolet’s portfolio reflects the brand’s commitment to being a fuel-efficiency leader in the industry.” The Chevrolet Spark will have the best fuel efficiency in its class and will get 40 miles per gallon. The car’s small size is a bonus in large cities and anywhere parking is a problem. The design of the car is labeled monoform, meaning the front and back have very little overhang. Anyone that has tried to park in any metro area will love this feature about the Spark.
This design feature gives the car interior more space as well. The design is hip and unique and will appeal to a large segment of the population. Its colors are bold and flashy and the interior materials are fresh and comfortable. The public will be very intrigued by the Chevrolet Spark.
The Chevrolet Spark is based on a concept car General Motors produced in 2007 called the Chevrolet Beat. Currently, the Chevrolet Spark is being produced in China, South Africa and Singapore. Sales in Europe begin in 2010. The American general population will get its first opportunity to purchase the Chevrolet Spark in 2011.
